Store carbamazepine at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it in the original container to protect it from light.

It is important to take carbamazepine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

It can be taken with or without food.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Children

Carbamazepine is not recommended for children under the age of 2 years unless the benefits outweigh the risks.



Kidney

People with kidney problems may need a lower dose of carbamazepine.



Liver

People with liver problems may need a lower dose of carbamazepine. This medication can cause liver problems in some people.
