Treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris (chest pain) in patients who are inadequately controlled by, or intolerant of, other antianginal treatments.

Prevention of angina attacks.

How Taz Sr 60mg Tab Works

Taz Sr 60mg Tab (Trimetazidine) inhibits the long-chain 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase enzyme, an enzyme involved in fatty acid oxidation. By inhibiting this enzyme, it shifts myocardial energy metabolism from fatty acid oxidation to glucose oxidation, thus improving myocardial energy supply and reducing oxygen demand. This helps to reduce the frequency and severity of angina attacks.

Storage and Handling of Taz Sr 60mg Tab

Store at room temperature (20-25°C). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of the reach of children.

Dosage of Taz Sr 60mg Tab

Dosage should be determined by a physician.

The usual starting dose is 35 mg twice daily (morning and evening).

The dose may be increased to 70 mg twice daily if needed, but only as per doctor’s instruction.
