Telmisartan

This is the active ingredient, an angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb).

Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), often in combination with other medications.

Reduction of cardiovascular risk in highrisk patients with hypertension or type 2 diabetes.

Tamica 20mg Tab (Telmisartan) works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. By blocking this hormone, telmisartan helps relax and widen blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and reducing strain on the heart.

Store at room temperature, below 30°C (86°F), in a dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response.

Usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Swallow it whole with water.

Dizziness

Headache

Fatigue

Upper respiratory tract infection

Diarrhea

Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels)

Hypotension (low blood pressure)

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can increase the risk of low blood pressure. Limit alcohol intake while taking telmisartan.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how telmisartan affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Telmisartan is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor.



Children

Safety and efficacy in children have not been fully established.



Kidney

Dose adjustment may be necessary for patients with kidney problems.



Liver

Dose adjustment may be necessary for patients with liver problems.
