Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also known as enlarged prostate, to improve urinary flow.
Treatment of symptoms associated with BPH such as difficulty urinating, weak urinary stream, and frequent urination, especially at night.
Tamcuf 0.4mg Tab (Tamsulosin) is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and reducing urinary symptoms associated with BPH. It specifically targets alpha-1A receptors found in the prostate.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any medication that is outdated or showing signs of degradation.
Dosage is determined by a doctor and depends on individual needs. Commonly prescribed doses range from 0.4mg to 0.8mg once daily.
It is usually taken orally, once daily, in the morning, on an empty stomach, or as directed by a physician.
Do not crush, chew, or break the capsules; swallow them whole with water.

Alcohol may increase the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness. Limit alcohol intake while taking tamsulosin.
Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how tamsulosin affects you, especially initially. Dizziness and lightheadedness are possible side effects.
Tamsulosin is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Consult with your doctor.
Tamsulosin is not indicated for use in children.
Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with impaired kidney function. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage.
Patients with severe liver impairment should use tamsulosin with caution. Dosage adjustments may be needed.
