An angiotensin ii receptor blocker (arb) that helps relax blood vessels.
A thiazide diuretic that increases urine production, lowering blood volume.
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), often in patients who haven't responded adequately to other medications.
May be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs
Telmisartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. Chlorthalidone increases the excretion of sodium and water from the body, reducing blood volume and pressure. The combined effect leads to a more significant reduction in blood pressure than either drug alone.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Take the medication at the same time each day, usually once daily with or without food.

Alcohol may increase the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness. Limit alcohol intake.
May cause dizziness or lightheadedness, especially at the start of treatment. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how the medication affects you.
Not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor immediately if you become pregnant. Use is not recommended while breastfeeding.
Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
