This combination medication works by addressing multiple symptoms of the common cold and upper respiratory infections. Ammonium chloride and guaifenesin act as expectorants, thinning mucus and making it easier to cough up. Chlorpheniramine maleate is an antihistamine, blocking histamine's effects and reducing allergy-related symptoms. Dextromethorphan hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that works in the brain to reduce the urge to cough.

The usual dosage for adults is 1-2 tablets or capsules every 4-6 hours as needed.
Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
