Sucrasure Susp 200ml (Sucralfate) works by forming a protective barrier over ulcers and erosions in the gastrointestinal tract. It binds to the positively charged proteins at the ulcer base, creating a protective layer that prevents further damage from stomach acid and pepsin. It does not neutralize acid directly.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep the medication out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.

Dosage varies depending on the condition being treated and the patient's age and health. Always follow your doctor's prescription and instructions carefully.

Generally taken several times a day, usually before meals and at bedtime. Take with a full glass of water.

Do not crush or chew tablets.

For suspensions, shake well before each dose.

Alcohol Consumption

Sucralfate rarely causes drowsiness or dizziness but if experienced, avoid driving or operating machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Use only if the benefits outweigh the potential risks. The safety of sucralfate in pregnancy and breastfeeding is not fully established.



Children

Dosage adjustment may be necessary based on the child's weight and condition. Always consult your doctor for pediatric dosages.



Kidney

Renal impairment may necessitate dose adjustment. Discuss this with your doctor.



Liver

Sucralfate is not metabolized by the liver, so liver impairment typically does not require dose adjustment.
