Do not crush or chew the medication.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Metronidazole can be harmful to a developing fetus, so it should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefit outweighs the risk. It's also not recommended for breastfeeding mothers, as it can pass into breast milk.



Children

The safety and efficacy of metronidazole and sucralfate in children have not been established, so it's not generally recommended for children.



Kidney & Liver

Patients with kidney or liver problems may need a lower dosage or more frequent monitoring. Talk to your doctor about any concerns you have.
