Tranexamic Acid

Sturix Inj 5ml (Tranexamic Acid) works by inhibiting the breakdown of blood clots (fibrinolysis). It does this by blocking the action of plasminogen activators, such as tissue plasminogen activator (tPA), which are involved in the breakdown of fibrin, the protein that makes up blood clots. By inhibiting this breakdown, tranexamic acid helps to stabilize existing clots and prevent further bleeding.

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused portion after the expiry date printed on the packaging.

Dosage varies depending on the condition being treated and the individual's health status. Always follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Dosage is usually taken orally (by mouth) but can also be administered intravenously in hospital settings depending on the condition.

Do not exceed the prescribed dose.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Tranexamic acid should only be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding under strict medical supervision as potential risks haven't been fully established. Consult your doctor.



Children

Kidney

Caution is advised in patients with kidney problems. Your doctor may adjust your dosage or monitor you closely.
