Atorvastatin

A statin medication that lowers cholesterol levels in the blood by inhibiting the production of cholesterol in the liver.

High cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) when diet and lifestyle changes alone have not been successful.

To reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular events in people with high cholesterol and other risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or smoking.

May be used in combination with other cholesterollowering medications.

This combination medication works by targeting different aspects of cholesterol metabolism:

Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage is individualized and depends on your specific condition and response to treatment.

Typically taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not crush, break, or chew the tablet.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Do not stop taking this medication without talking to your doctor.

Muscle pain, weakness, or tenderness

Allergic reactions

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol may increase the risk of side effects, particularly liver problems. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor for advice.



Children

Not recommended for use in children under 10 years of age.



Kidney

Caution is advised in individuals with kidney problems. Dosage adjustment may be necessary.



Liver

Caution is advised in individuals with liver problems. Liver function tests may be required.
