Elemental Magnesium

This drug formulation combines three components to achieve its laxative effect. Liquid paraffin acts as a lubricant, softening stool and facilitating its passage through the intestines. Sodium picosulphate stimulates the muscles in the colon, promoting bowel movements. Magnesium, while not directly involved in the laxative effect, can contribute to overall bowel regularity by supporting muscle function and electrolyte balance.

Store the medication in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Discard any unused medication after the expiry date.

Usually taken orally with a glass of water.
