Rupatadine: This is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, a chemical released by the body during allergic reactions.

Montelukast: This is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Leukotrienes are chemicals that contribute to inflammation in the airways, causing symptoms like coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath.

Relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and nasal congestion.

Relief of symptoms associated with perennial allergic rhinitis (allergies yearround) such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and nasal congestion.

May also be used to prevent asthma attacks in some patients.

This combination medication works by blocking the action of histamine (rupatadine) and leukotrienes (montelukast), both of which contribute to allergic reactions and inflammation in the airways.

Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep this medication out of the reach of children and pets.

The usual adult dose is one tablet taken once daily, preferably in the evening.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage based on your individual needs and medical history.

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.

Take this medication with a full glass of water.

Common side effects include headache, drowsiness, and fatigue.

Less common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain.

Rare side effects may include dizziness, confusion, and seizures.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol while taking this medication, as it can increase drowsiness and impair judgment.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication can cause drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless the potential benefits outweigh the risks.



Children

This medication is not recommended for use in children under the age of 12.



Kidney

This medication is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney disease.



Liver

This medication is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver disease.
