Tizanidine

Tizanidine is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called muscle relaxants.It works by blocking nerve signals that cause muscle spasms.

Tizanidine is used to relieve muscle spasms caused by various conditions, such as:

Muscle stiffness and pain associated with multiple sclerosis (MS)

Spinal cord injuries

Cerebral palsy

Stroke

Other neurological disorders

Sirdalud 4mg Tab (Tizanidine) works by acting on the central nervous system, specifically on the alpha-2 adrenergic receptors in the spinal cord. This action helps to block the transmission of nerve impulses that cause muscle spasms, leading to muscle relaxation.

Store tizanidine at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.

Keep it in its original container.

Do not use tizanidine if the seal is broken or the medication has changed color or consistency.

It's usually taken 2-3 times a day.

Children

Kidney
