Simvastatin

Simvastatin is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called statins.

To lower high cholesterol levels in the blood.

To help prevent heart disease and stroke in people at risk.

Simvotin 40mg Tab (Simvastatin) works by blocking the production of cholesterol in the liver, which helps lower the levels of bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise the levels of good cholesterol (HDL) in the blood.

Store simvastatin at room temperature, between 68°F and 77°F (20°C and 25°C). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

The dosage of simvastatin will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

It is typically taken once daily, preferably in the evening.

Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Alcohol Consumption

Drinking alcohol while taking simvastatin may increase the risk of liver damage.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Simvastatin may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Simvastatin is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult your doctor about safe alternatives.



Children

Simvastatin is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Tell your doctor if you have kidney problems.



Liver

Tell your doctor if you have liver problems.
