Brimonidine Tartrate

This is an alpha-2 adrenergic agonist that lowers eye pressure by reducing the production of aqueous humor (the fluid in your eye).

Brinzolamide

This is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that also lowers eye pressure by reducing the production of aqueous humor.

This medication is used to treat openangle glaucoma and ocular hypertension (high pressure inside the eye).

It is used to lower eye pressure and help prevent vision loss.

This medication works by lowering the pressure inside the eye. It does this by reducing the production of fluid in the eye, which helps to keep the pressure from getting too high. This medication contains two active ingredients: Simbrinza Eye Drops 5ml (Brimonidine Tartrate + Brinzolamide). Brimonidine tartrate works by decreasing the production of fluid in the eye, while brinzolamide also decreases the production of fluid in the eye and increases the flow of fluid out of the eye.

Store this medication at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Do not store it in the bathroom. Keep this medication out of the reach of children and pets.

This medication is usually applied to the affected eye(s) once a day, at bedtime.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not use more of this medication than prescribed.

Wash your hands before using this medication.

Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to create a pouch.

Squeeze one drop of the medication into the pouch.

Close your eye and gently press on the corner of your eye near the nose for about 1 minute.

Do not touch the dropper tip to your eye or any other surface.

Replace the cap tightly after use.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can interact with this medication and increase the risk of side effects. Talk to your doctor about how much alcohol is safe to consume while taking this medication.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause blurred vision, dizziness, and drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is not known if this medication is safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not recommended for use in children unless specifically prescribed by a doctor.



Kidney

This medication may be harmful to people with kidney problems. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose or monitor you carefully if you have kidney problems.



Liver

This medication may be harmful to people with liver problems. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose or monitor you carefully if you have liver problems.
