Remogliflozin Etabonate

Vildagliptin

Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Used in combination with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes who are not adequately controlled with diet and exercise alone.

This medication is a combination of two drugs: reemogliflozin etabonate and vildagliptin. Remogliflozin etabonate is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that works by blocking the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, leading to increased glucose excretion in urine. Vildagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones, which stimulate insulin release from the pancreas and suppress glucagon secretion. This combined action helps to lower blood sugar levels.

Store at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

The recommended starting dose is one tablet taken once daily with or without food.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose for you based on your individual needs and response to treatment.

It's important to take this medication as directed by your doctor. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.

Serious side effects may include: ketoacidosis (a dangerous build-up of ketones in the blood), allergic reactions, pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), bone fractures.

Common side effects may include: urinary tract infections, genital fungal infections, headache, nausea, diarrhea, low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), increased urination, dehydration.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can interact with this medication and increase the risk of low blood sugar. It's best to limit or avoid alcohol consumption while taking this medication.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

This medication may cause dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication should not be used during pregnancy. Consult your doctor about the risks and benefits of using this medication if you are breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Your doctor may need to adjust your dose if you have kidney problems.



Liver

This medication may be harmful to people with liver disease. Talk to your doctor about your liver health before taking this medication.
