Fumarate is the active ingredient in most quetiapine formulations.

Seropax 12.5 Tab (Quetiapine) is an atypical antipsychotic that works by blocking dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain. This helps to reduce positive symptoms of psychosis (like hallucinations and delusions), negative symptoms (like flat affect and social withdrawal), and mood symptoms (like mania and depression). The precise mechanism for its efficacy in depression remains incompletely understood.

Store quetiapine tablets or extended-release tablets in a cool, dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or tampered with. Dispose of expired medication properly.

Quetiapine is usually taken orally, with or without food.

Do not crush, chew, or break extended-release tablets; swallow them whole.

Alcohol Consumption

Quetiapine can cause drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking quetiapine if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or plan to become pregnant. Quetiapine may pass into breast milk.



Children
