Schizonil 1mg Tab (Trifluoperazine) is an antipsychotic medication that works by blocking the action of dopamine in the brain. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that is involved in regulating mood, movement, and thought processes. By blocking dopamine, trifluoperazine helps to reduce the symptoms of psychosis, such as hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking.
Store the medication at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
The dosage of trifluoperazine will vary depending on the individual patient's needs and condition.
It is usually taken by mouth, with or without food.
Do not stop taking this medication suddenly without talking to your doctor.
Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
Tardive dyskinesia (involuntary movements of the face, tongue, and limbs)

Avoid alcohol while taking trifluoperazine, as it can increase the risk of drowsiness and dizziness.
This medication can cause drowsiness, dizziness, and blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Trifluoperazine can be harmful to a developing fetus. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It can also pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding while taking this medication.
This medication is not typically recommended for children.
Patients with kidney problems may need to take lower doses or have their dosage adjusted.
Patients with liver problems may need to take lower doses or have their dosage adjusted.
