Rifampicin

Another antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacteria, including mycobacterium tuberculosis. it works by inhibiting bacterial rna synthesis.

Scc 2 Sachet (Isoniazid + Rifampicin) work synergistically to combat Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Isoniazid interferes with the synthesis of mycolic acids, essential components of the bacterial cell wall, leading to bacterial death. Rifampicin inhibits bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thus blocking RNA synthesis and protein production, ultimately resulting in bacterial cell death. The combination ensures broader effectiveness and reduces the risk of resistance development.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication according to your pharmacist's instructions.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Both isoniazid and rifampicin can pass into breast milk.



Children

Kidney

Kidney function should be monitored, especially in patients with pre-existing kidney disease.
