Lactulose is a synthetic sugar that is not broken down in the small intestine.It is a non-absorbable disaccharide composed of galactose and fructose.Lactulose is available in liquid, powder, and oral solution forms.
Treatment of constipation.
Prevention of hepatic encephalopathy (a brain disorder that can occur in people with liver disease).
Preparation for colonoscopy or other colon procedures.
Sanluk Syp 200ml (Lactulose) works by drawing water into the colon, softening the stool and increasing its volume, which stimulates bowel movements. In hepatic encephalopathy, it reduces the absorption of ammonia in the gut, lowering ammonia levels in the blood.
Store lactulose at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not use lactulose if it is past its expiration date.
