Risperidone

An atypical antipsychotic medication used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

Trihexyphenidyl

An anticholinergic medication used to treat parkinson's disease and extrapyramidal symptoms (eps) caused by other medications, such as risperidone.

Treatment of schizophrenia in adults and adolescents (age 1317).

Treatment of manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder in adults.

Management of extrapyramidal symptoms (EPS) induced by risperidone.

Risperidone blocks dopamine and serotonin receptors in the brain, reducing psychotic symptoms. Trihexyphenidyl blocks the action of acetylcholine, which helps counteract the EPS side effects (such as tremors, rigidity, and muscle spasms) often associated with risperidone.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication according to your pharmacist's instructions.

Dosage is determined by a doctor based on individual needs and response to treatment.

It's typically started at a low dose and gradually increased.

Children
