Vecuronium Bromide

Is the active ingredient.

Adjunct to general anesthesia to facilitate endotracheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery and mechanical ventilation.

Shortterm use during surgery to reduce muscle tone and facilitate mechanical ventilation.

Samvec 4mg Inj (Vecuronium Bromide) is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent. It acts competitively at the neuromuscular junction, blocking the action of acetylcholine, thereby preventing muscle contraction. The effect is reversed by cholinesterase inhibitors like neostigmine or edrophonium.

Store at controlled room temperature 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) [See USP]. Protect from light. Discard any unused portion.

Dosage is individualized based on patient factors and response. Administered intravenously by a qualified healthcare professional.

Intubation: A bolus dose is typically given before intubation.

Maintenance: Subsequent doses are given as needed to maintain muscle relaxation.

The specific dosage regimen must be determined by a physician or anesthesiologist.

Histamine release (potentially leading to rash, itching)

Postoperative muscle weakness (especially if used with other drugs)

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption as it can potentiate the effects of Vecuronium bromide and increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Do not drive or operate machinery after receiving Vecuronium bromide until the effects of the medication have completely worn off and you have been cleared by your physician.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Use only when clearly needed and the benefits outweigh the potential risks. Consult your physician.



Children

Dosage adjustments are necessary for pediatric patients. Use should be under the supervision of a physician.



Kidney

Dosage adjustments may be required in patients with renal impairment due to potential accumulation of the drug.



Liver

Dosage adjustments may be required in patients with hepatic impairment due to potential impaired metabolism.
