Amlodipine

A calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure.

Atenolol

A beta-blocker that slows down the heart rate and reduces the force of contractions, also lowering blood pressure.

Management of angina pectoris (chest pain)

Amlodipine relaxes blood vessels by blocking the entry of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells. Atenolol reduces the heart's workload and output by blocking the effects of adrenaline and noradrenaline on the heart. The combination provides a synergistic effect in lowering blood pressure.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response.

Typically taken once daily, usually in the morning.

Swallow tablets whole with water; do not crush or chew.

Do not suddenly stop taking this medication; consult your doctor for proper discontinuation.

Children

Generally not recommended for use in children unless specifically prescribed by a pediatrician.



Kidney
