Ketoconazole

An antifungal medication that works by preventing the growth of fungi.

Salicylic Acid

A keratolytic agent that helps to remove dead skin cells and soften the skin.

Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis (dandruff) of the scalp.

Treatment of pityriasis versicolor (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes discoloration of the skin.

Ketoconazole inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to fungal cell death. Salicylic acid acts as a keratolytic, loosening the outer layer of skin and facilitating the penetration of ketoconazole.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

Apply the medication to the affected area as directed by your doctor.

Typically, it is applied once or twice daily.

Skin irritation, redness, dryness, or peeling.

Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling).

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption while using this medication as it may increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication is not expected to impair driving or operating machinery.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before using this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

This medication is not typically used for children.



Kidney

This medication should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems.



Liver

This medication should be used with caution in patients with liver problems.
