Salgatran 400mg/80mg Tablet (Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim) act synergistically. Sulfamethoxazole inhibits dihydropteroate synthetase, an enzyme crucial for folic acid synthesis. Trimethoprim inhibits dihydrofolate reductase, another enzyme in the same pathway. By inhibiting sequential steps in folic acid production, bacterial growth is significantly suppressed.
