About Rozucor B 40 Tab
This medication is a combination of two cholesterol-lowering drugs: Rozucor B 40 Tab (Bempedoic Acid + Rosuvastatin). It is used to treat high cholesterol and to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes in people with cardiovascular disease. This medication works by blocking the production of cholesterol in the liver. It is typically taken once daily with or without food. Possible side effects include muscle aches, headache, fatigue, nausea, and diarrhea. This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. If you have any questions or concerns about this medication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

    Bempedoic Acid

    Rosuvastatin

Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD): May also be used to lower the risk of major cardiovascular events (such as heart attack, stroke, or death from cardiovascular causes) in adults with ASCVD or multiple risk factors for ASCVD.

How Rozucor B 40 Tab Works

This combination medication works by inhibiting two different pathways involved in cholesterol production: Bempedoic Acid: Inhibits the enzyme ATP citrate lyase (ACL), which is a key enzyme in the production of cholesterol in the liver. Rosuvastatin: Inhibits the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase, which is the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis.
