Treatment of Parkinson's disease (early and advanced stages), including improving symptoms such as tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, and postural instability.

Treatment of restless legs syndrome (RLS) to reduce the urge to move the legs and improve sleep.

Ropimine 4mg Tablet Xl (Ropinirole) is a dopamine agonist. It works by mimicking the effects of dopamine, a neurotransmitter that is deficient in Parkinson's disease. This helps to improve motor control and reduce the symptoms of the disease. In RLS, it's believed to affect dopamine pathways in the brain that regulate movement and sleep.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after its expiration date.

Dosage is determined by your doctor and depends on your condition and response to treatment. It is typically started at a low dose and gradually increased.

It's usually taken orally, either once, twice, or three times a day, depending on the formulation and prescribed regimen.

Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia, constipation, hallucinations, orthostatic hypotension (sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing), swelling in the ankles, fatigue, confusion.

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid alcohol consumption, as it can exacerbate side effects like dizziness and drowsiness.



Driving or operating Machinery

Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how ropinirole affects you. Drowsiness and dizziness are common side effects.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking ropinirole if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant. Ropinirole may pass into breast milk.



Children

Not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Dosage adjustment may be necessary for patients with kidney impairment.



Liver
