Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), while ramipril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Both medications work by relaxing blood vessels, reducing the force of the heart's contractions, and lowering blood pressure. Telmisartan blocks the effects of angiotensin II, a hormone that constricts blood vessels, while ramipril prevents the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. By working together, these two medications provide a more effective blood pressure control than either medication alone.

Store the medication in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep the medication out of reach of children and pets.

Dosage is typically started low and gradually increased by your doctor.

The medication is usually taken once daily, with or without food.

Do not stop taking the medication without talking to your doctor.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

While Driving or operating Machinery

This medication can cause dizziness or fatigue, which may affect your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy, as it can cause harm to the developing baby. It is also not recommended for breastfeeding women, as the medication can pass into breast milk.



Children

This medication is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

Kidney problems may increase the risk of side effects. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage or monitor your kidney function while you are taking this medication.



Liver

Liver problems may increase the risk of side effects. Your doctor may need to adjust your dosage or monitor your liver function while you are taking this medication.
