Rifex Kid 100 Mg/100 Mg Tablet (Isoniazid + Rifampicin) are bactericidal (kill bacteria) antibiotics that work synergistically. Isoniazid interferes with the synthesis of mycolic acids, essential components of the mycobacterial cell wall. Rifampicin inhibits bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, preventing the synthesis of messenger RNA and bacterial proteins, ultimately leading to bacterial death.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Dosage is determined by the physician based on the patient's age, weight, and overall health. It varies significantly depending on the type and severity of the infection and the patient's response to therapy.

The medication is typically administered orally (taken by mouth).

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Children

Dosage for children is different from that for adults and is carefully determined by the physician based on weight and age.



Kidney

Kidney function should be monitored, especially in patients with pre-existing kidney disease, as the drugs may be excreted differently.



Liver
