Netarsudil is the active ingredient in the medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called Rho kinase inhibitors.
Netarsudil is primarily used to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with openangle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
It is also used to treat elevated IOP in patients who are not adequately controlled with other medications.
Rhopress Eye Drops 2.5ml (Netarsudil) works by reducing the production of aqueous humor, the fluid that fills the eye. It does this by inhibiting the Rho kinase enzyme, which is involved in the regulation of intraocular pressure.
Store Netarsudil at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
The dosage and frequency of Netarsudil administration vary depending on the individual patient's needs.
Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage for you.
It is typically applied to the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.

Common side effects include eye irritation, redness, and burning.
Less common side effects include blurred vision, headache, and conjunctivitis.
Serious side effects are rare but may include allergic reactions, eye pain, and changes in vision.
The effect of alcohol on Netarsudil is not well established. It is best to avoid alcohol consumption while using this medication.
Netarsudil may cause blurred vision, which can impair your ability to drive or operate machinery. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Netarsudil should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risks. It is not known if Netarsudil is safe to use during breastfeeding. Consult with your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Netarsudil is not recommended for use in children.
Netarsudil is not known to affect kidney function.
