Glibenclamide works by closing ATP-sensitive potassium channels in the beta cells of the pancreas, leading to depolarization and insulin release. Metformin primarily decreases hepatic glucose production, increases insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, and improves glucose uptake in muscle tissue. The combination leverages the synergistic effects of both mechanisms for enhanced blood glucose control.
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if the packaging is damaged or the expiration date has passed.

Hypoglycemia can impair concentration and reaction time. Avoid driving or operating machinery if experiencing hypoglycemia symptoms.
Generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult a doctor immediately.
Not typically used in children. Alternative treatments are usually considered.
Metformin dosage may need to be adjusted or discontinued in patients with kidney impairment.
Liver function should be monitored, especially in patients with pre-existing liver disease.
