Rcinex Kid Tab (Isoniazid + Rifampicin) are bactericidal (kill bacteria) antibiotics that work synergistically. Isoniazid interferes with the synthesis of mycolic acids, essential components of the mycobacterial cell wall. Rifampicin inhibits bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, preventing the synthesis of messenger RNA and bacterial proteins, ultimately leading to bacterial death.
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
Dosage is determined by the physician based on the patient's age, weight, and overall health. It varies significantly depending on the type and severity of the infection and the patient's response to therapy.
The medication is typically administered orally (taken by mouth).
