Memantine

Hydrochloride is the active ingredient in medications containing memantine.

Treatment of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.

Symptomatic treatment of cognitive deficits associated with Alzheimer's disease.

Admenta 5mg Tab (Memantine) is a non-competitive N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist. It modulates the activity of NMDA receptors in the brain, helping to regulate the flow of calcium ions. This action helps to improve cognitive function and reduce symptoms associated with Alzheimer's disease by potentially reducing excitotoxicity and neuronal damage.

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any unused medication after the expiration date.

Dosage should always be determined by a physician and adjusted based on individual patient needs and tolerance.

Generally, treatment begins with a low dose that is gradually increased over several weeks.

Memantine is usually administered orally, once or twice daily.
