A fibrate-class lipid-lowering medication that reduces triglycerides and increases hdl cholesterol (good cholesterol).
A statin-class lipid-lowering medication that inhibits cholesterol production in the liver, reducing ldl cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and total cholesterol.
Mixed dyslipidemia (high levels of cholesterol and triglycerides)
High cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia)
High triglycerides (hypertriglyceridemia)
Prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with high risk factors
Fenofibrate activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α), reducing triglyceride production and increasing HDL cholesterol. Rosuvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, the enzyme responsible for cholesterol synthesis in the liver, lowering LDL cholesterol and total cholesterol. The combination provides a more comprehensive approach to lipid management than either drug alone.

It is usually taken once daily, with or without food.
Elevated creatine kinase levels (CK) - a marker of muscle damage, requiring monitoring

Liver function tests should be performed before starting and periodically during treatment, as the combination may affect liver enzymes. The drug should be discontinued if significant liver damage is detected.
