Ramipril is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.

Raxipril 1.25mg Capsule (Ramipril) works by blocking the action of an enzyme called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). ACE is involved in the production of a hormone that constricts blood vessels. By blocking ACE, ramipril causes blood vessels to relax and widen, lowering blood pressure.
Store ramipril at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
The dosage of ramipril varies depending on your medical condition and response to treatment.
Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose for you.
Ramipril is typically taken once daily, with or without food.
It is important to take ramipril exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Alcohol can increase the risk of low blood pressure, especially when taken with ramipril.
Ramipril may cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.
Ramipril is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It can harm the unborn baby or the nursing infant.
The safety and effectiveness of ramipril in children have not been established.
Ramipril can cause kidney problems in some people, especially those with pre-existing kidney disease.
