Olopatadine

Relief of symptoms associated with allergic conjunctivitis (inflammation of the conjunctiva, the clear membrane that covers the white part of the eye and the inside of the eyelid), such as itchy, watery eyes, redness, and swelling.

Treatment of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis (hay fever) in adults and children 3 years of age and older.

Rapidon Od Eye Drops 3ml (Olopatadine) is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, a chemical that is released during an allergic reaction. By blocking histamine, olopatadine helps to reduce the symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

The usual dosage for adults and children 3 years of age and older is one drop in the affected eye(s) up to four times daily.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not exceed the recommended dosage.

Common side effects include burning, stinging, and eye irritation.

Alcohol Consumption

It is generally safe to consume alcohol while using olopatadine.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Olopatadine may cause blurred vision, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery until you are sure that the medication does not affect your vision.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

It is important to talk to your doctor before using olopatadine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. There is limited information available on the safety of olopatadine during pregnancy and breastfeeding.



Children

Olopatadine is safe for children 3 years of age and older.
