Fenofibrate

A fibrate drug that lowers triglyceride levels and raises high-density lipoprotein (hdl) cholesterol, often called "good" cholesterol.

Rosuvastatin

A statin drug that lowers low-density lipoprotein (ldl) cholesterol, often called "bad" cholesterol

To treat high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia) and high triglycerides (hypertriglyceridemia) when diet and exercise alone haven't been effective.

To reduce the risk of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke) in patients with high risk factors.

Fenofibrate activates PPAR-alpha receptors, increasing the breakdown of triglycerides and the excretion of cholesterol. Rosuvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme essential for cholesterol production in the liver, thereby reducing LDL cholesterol levels.

Store at room temperature, below 30°C (86°F), in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response to treatment.

The medication is usually taken orally, once daily, with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets.

Elevated liver enzymes

Gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain

Headache, dizziness

Allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling)

Increased risk of gallstones

Alcohol Consumption

Moderate alcohol consumption should be discussed with a physician. Excessive alcohol intake can increase the risk of liver damage.



While Driving or operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery if affected.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Discuss with physician before conception.



Children

Not typically indicated for use in children.



Kidney

Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with impaired kidney function.



Liver

Patients with liver disease should use caution; regular liver function tests may be recommended.
