Qutipin 25 Tab (Quetiapine) is an atypical antipsychotic medication. It works by affecting the balance of certain natural substances (neurotransmitters) in the brain. These neurotransmitters are involved in regulating mood, sleep, thought, and behavior.

Store quetiapine at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

The dose of quetiapine will be determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and medical history.

Quetiapine is typically taken orally, with or without food.

It is important to take quetiapine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take more or less of it than directed.

Do not stop taking quetiapine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

If you miss a dose of quetiapine, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.

Do not double the dose to make up for a missed dose.

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (a rare but serious condition)

Increased cholesterol levels

Dry mouth

Constipation

Nasal congestion

Blurred vision

Increased risk of developing diabetes

Movement disorders (e.g., restlessness, tremors)

Extrapyramidal symptoms (e.g., muscle stiffness, spasms)

Seizures

Suicidal thoughts or actions

Allergic reactions (e.g., rash, itching, swelling)

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol can worsen the side effects of quetiapine, such as drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid alcohol while taking quetiapine.



While Driving or operating Machinery

Quetiapine can cause drowsiness and dizziness. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how quetiapine affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Quetiapine can pass into breast milk. It is not recommended for breastfeeding women. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of taking quetiapine.



Children

Quetiapine is not approved for use in children under 13 years old.



Kidney

Your doctor may need to adjust your dose of quetiapine if you have kidney problems.



Liver

Your doctor may need to adjust your dose of quetiapine if you have liver problems.
