Q Pin Sr 400mg Tab (Quetiapine) works by blocking the actions of certain natural substances in the brain that are thought to be involved in the symptoms of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression. It helps to improve thinking, mood, and behavior.
Store quetiapine at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Dosage is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
Quetiapine is usually taken by mouth, once or twice a day with or without food.
Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets. Swallow them whole.
Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not change the dose or stop taking quetiapine without talking to your doctor first.
It may take several weeks for quetiapine to work fully.
Serious side effects are possible but less common. These may include seizures, high blood sugar, low white blood cell count, and extrapyramidal symptoms (muscle stiffness, tremors, restlessness).
Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, weight gain, dry mouth, constipation, and blurred vision.
Avoid alcohol while taking quetiapine, as it can increase the risk of drowsiness and dizziness.
