Prazozin is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure. In BPH, it relaxes muscles in the prostate, improving urinary flow.
Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Discard any medication past its expiration date.
Dosage is determined by your doctor and depends on your condition and response to treatment.
It's typically taken orally, once or twice daily, with or without food.
Do not suddenly stop taking Prazosin; your doctor should gradually reduce your dosage to prevent rebound hypertension.
