Povidone Iodine

Povidone iodine is a combination of iodine and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP).Iodine is a potent antiseptic that kills bacteria, fungi, and viruses.PVP is a synthetic polymer that helps release iodine slowly and makes the solution more stable.

Pivdo Water-Soluble Microbicidal Ointment (Povidone Iodine) works by releasing iodine, which acts as an oxidizing agent. It disrupts the cell membranes of bacteria, fungi, and viruses, leading to their death.

Store povidone iodine solution at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep the bottle tightly closed. Do not freeze.

For topical use only.

Apply a thin layer of povidone iodine solution to the affected area 1-3 times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Wash the area with soap and water before applying povidone iodine.

Do not use povidone iodine on open wounds or mucous membranes.

Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth.
