Pivastin 2 Tablet (Pitavastatin) is a selective inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme crucial in cholesterol synthesis in the liver. By inhibiting this enzyme, pitavastatin reduces the production of cholesterol, leading to lower LDL ('bad') cholesterol levels in the blood.

Store at room temperature (below 30°C). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a physician based on individual needs and response.

Typically, it is administered once daily with or without food.

Do not adjust the dose or stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

Rarely: liver problems, rhabdomyolysis (severe muscle breakdown)

Alcohol Consumption

While Driving or operating Machinery

Pitavastatin generally does not affect alertness; however, individuals experiencing side effects like dizziness should avoid such activities.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consult your doctor before use.



Children

Safety and efficacy in children have not been established. Not recommended.



Kidney

Patients with severe kidney disease may require dose adjustment. Consult your physician.
