How Pirfenex 600mg Tab Works

The exact mechanism of Pirfenex 600mg Tab (Pirfenidone) in IPF is not fully understood. However, it's believed to work through multiple pathways, including anti-inflammatory, antifibrotic, and antioxidant effects. It may reduce the production of transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), a key cytokine involved in fibrosis.

Storage and Handling of Pirfenex 600mg Tab

Store at room temperature (20°C-25°C) in a tightly closed container, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage of Pirfenex 600mg Tab

The usual starting dose is 801mg three times daily (2403mg total daily dose) with food.

The dose may be increased to 2403mg per day, administered 801mg three times daily. This will only happen after physician assessment of tolerability after at least 1 week on the lower dose

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and do not change the dosage without consulting them.
