Pioglitazone

A thiazolidinedione (tzd) that improves insulin sensitivity.

Vildagliptin

A dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (dpp-4) inhibitor that enhances incretin hormone activity.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly those inadequately controlled with metformin alone or who are intolerant to metformin.

Pioglitazone increases insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues (muscle, liver, and adipose tissue), while vildagliptin increases levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP) that stimulate insulin release and suppress glucagon secretion, leading to improved glycemic control.

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on individual needs and response.

Typically administered once daily with or without food.

Heart failure (especially in patients with pre-existing heart conditions)

Alcohol Consumption

Alcohol consumption should be limited or avoided as it can interfere with blood sugar control and increase the risk of liver damage.



Driving or Operating Machinery

May cause dizziness or fatigue; caution is advised.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Use is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Consult a doctor.



Children

Not indicated for use in children.



Kidney

Dosage adjustment may be needed in patients with kidney impairment.



Liver

Regular monitoring of liver function is recommended, especially during initial treatment.
