Perampanel

Is the active ingredient in the medication.

Treatment of partialonset seizures with or without secondary generalization in adults with epilepsy.

Treatment of primary generalized tonicclonic seizures (PGTCS) in adults with epilepsy.

Perampra 4mg Tab (Perampanel) is an antiepileptic drug that works by reducing the activity of glutamate, a neurotransmitter that plays a role in seizures.

Store perampanel tablets at room temperature, between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F), in a tightly closed container.

The starting dose of perampanel is usually 2 mg once daily.

The dose may be increased gradually, up to a maximum of 12 mg per day.

Take perampanel tablets with or without food.

It is important to take perampanel exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Cognitive impairment (problems with thinking, memory, and attention)

Dizziness

Sleepiness

Fatigue

Headache

Nausea

Weight gain

Suicidal thoughts or actions

Alcohol Consumption

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking perampanel. Alcohol can increase the risk of side effects.



While Driving or Operating Machinery

Perampanel can cause dizziness and sleepiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.



Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Perampanel is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is not known if perampanel passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using this medication while breastfeeding.



Children

Perampanel is not approved for use in children.



Kidney

If you have kidney problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose of perampanel.



Liver

If you have liver problems, your doctor may need to adjust your dose of perampanel.
