Pcrdi 80mg Tablet (Atorvastatin) is a statin. It works by inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, a key enzyme in the liver's cholesterol production pathway. This reduction in cholesterol synthesis leads to a decrease in LDL cholesterol (“bad” cholesterol) and an increase in HDL cholesterol (“good” cholesterol) levels in the blood.
Store at room temperature between 20°C and 25°C (68°F and 77°F). Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
Dosage is determined by your doctor based on your individual needs and response to treatment.
It is typically taken once daily, with or without food.
Do not crush or chew the tablets; swallow them whole.
Muscle aches (myalgia), sometimes severe (rhabdomyolysis)

Moderate alcohol consumption may be acceptable, but excessive alcohol use should be avoided as it can increase the risk of liver damage.
Atorvastatin usually does not impair alertness, but individual responses vary. If you experience drowsiness or dizziness, avoid driving or operating machinery.
Atorvastatin is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Use in children should only be considered under strict medical supervision.
Dose adjustment may be necessary in patients with severe kidney disease.
Atorvastatin should be used cautiously in patients with liver disease. Regular monitoring of liver function is recommended.
