Levosulpiride primarily acts by blocking dopamine D2 receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) of the brain, reducing nausea and vomiting. Pantoprazole inhibits the enzyme H+/K+-ATPase, the 'proton pump', in the parietal cells of the stomach, thereby significantly reducing gastric acid secretion. The combined effect provides both symptomatic relief and reduces the risk of further acid-related damage.
