Paracetamol

Paracetamol (also known as acetaminophen) is the primary active ingredient.Formulations may include additional inactive ingredients such as binders, fillers, and coatings to improve stability and palatability. Always check the specific product label for a complete list of ingredients.

Relief of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, muscle aches, toothache, backache.

Reduction of fever (antipyretic effect).

Pacrip 500mg Tablet (Paracetamol) reduces fever by affecting the area of the brain that regulates body temperature. Its mechanism of pain relief is less clearly understood but is thought to involve inhibition of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, primarily in the central nervous system, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins, which are involved in pain and inflammation. However, unlike non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), paracetamol does not significantly inhibit COX enzymes in the periphery.

Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Check the expiry date on the packaging and discard any expired medication.

Do not exceed the recommended dose.

For adults, a typical dose is 500mg to 1000mg every 4-6 hours, not exceeding 4000mg in 24 hours.

Alcohol Consumption

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Consult your doctor before taking paracetamol if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.



Children

Kidney

People with kidney problems may require dose adjustments; consult your doctor or pharmacist.



Liver

People with liver problems should use paracetamol with extreme caution and under strict medical supervision. Overdose can cause severe liver damage.
