Pantoprazole

Pantoprazole is the active ingredient in this medication.It belongs to a class of drugs called proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including erosive esophagitis.

Shortterm treatment of active duodenal ulcers.

Treatment of ZollingerEllison syndrome.

Prevention of stress ulcers in critically ill patients.

P2i Tab (Pantoprazole) works by blocking the production of acid in the stomach. It does this by inhibiting the enzyme known as the hydrogen potassium ATPase (H+/K+ ATPase), which is responsible for pumping hydrogen ions (H+) into the stomach lumen.

Store Pantoprazole at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children.

The dosage of Pantoprazole will vary depending on your condition and individual needs.

Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose for you.

It is typically taken once daily, usually before a meal.

Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.

Do not stop taking Pantoprazole without consulting your doctor.

Alcohol Consumption

It's best to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking Pantoprazole, as it can increase the risk of stomach irritation.

Pregnant & Breastfeeding Women

Pantoprazole should only be used during pregnancy if the benefits outweigh the risks. Consult your doctor before taking Pantoprazole if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
