Metformin

Children

Use in children is not usually recommended unless under specific medical guidance for PCOS or other conditions.



Kidney

Metformin is contraindicated in patients with severe kidney disease due to an increased risk of lactic acidosis. Kidney function should be monitored.



Liver

Liver function should be monitored, especially in individuals with pre-existing liver conditions.
